NTU Handball Carnival 2012

Dear Captains / Team Managers / Team Representatives,
NTU Handball Team is organizing NTU Handball Carnival (Men's and Women's) to provide opportunities for players to put their skills to test while enjoying the fun of Handball! Instead of the carnival style we did in the previous years, we're adopting the league format for this NTU Handball Carnival in which matches will take place mostly on weekends over a period of two weeks.

Dates
Weekends - 25th Feb (Sat), 26th Feb (Sun), 3rd March (Sat), 4th March (Sun)
Weekday - One/Two days between 27th Feb & 2nd March (Note: not all teams will play on weekday, we will try to arrange such that only student clubs play on weekday.)

Time
Weekends: Morning 9am - 1pm
Weekday: Evening 7pm - 10pm

Venue: NTU Sports & Recreation Centre Outdoor Handball Court

Format of Play:
Group Stage - Round Robin
(two periods of 20/25 minutes with a 7 minute half-time)
Winner Pool & Loser Pool - Semi-finals & Finals within each Pool
(two periods of 30 minutes with a 10 minute half-time)

Registration Fees: $300 (inclusive of Refereeing Fees)
* Up to 16 players can be registered for each team
* Approximately four matches per team
* Approximate individual player cost per game: ($300 ÷ 16) ÷ 4 = $4.70

Medals will be given to the top 3 teams!
